“TWO CLEANSING BEVERAGES FROM

VEGAN COOKING FOR DUMMIES BY ALEXANDRA JAMIESON”

Vegan Cooking for Dummies has just been published by Wiley Publishing. And quite fittingly, its author is Alexandra Jamieson, a professionally trained vegan chef and board certified holistic health counselor. Alex was featured in the award-winning documentary, Super Size Me. A complete review will be featured in next month’s newsletter.

After the holiday season, I feel like I don’t want to look at food for the rest of my life (or at least, until next month) other than the occasional soup, very light and cleansing fruits and veggies, and above all, cleansing beverages. There are a slew of tempting choices in this book. Here are two that look incredibly appealing: “

Cooking Up Pumpkin Pancakes & Mochi Waffles From Vegan Cooking For Dummies

I was recently in my hometown of Portland, Oregon (Go Ducks!) to visit my family and promote the publication of my third book, Vegan Cooking For Dummies.

One of the coolest parts of the trip home was speaking at Powell’s Books, the mecca for all bibliophiles, and appearing in a cooking segment on the local talk show AM Northwest.

Watch my cooking demo here! vegan pumpkin pancakes, gluten free waffles, mochi waffles, easy recipes

At the bottom of the page, you can even get a copy of these two recipes which appear in my new book – freebie bonus!

Alex's Healthy Holiday Gift Guide & Natural Living Catalogue

Welcome to my first ever Healthy Holiday Gift Guide & Natural Living Catalogue! Just click on the image at your right to get started!

This is a collection of my favorite products and services for a joyous, healthy life. These offerings are what I consider to be the best in their category.

Gift giving can take on hectic overtones as the year draws to a close. My hope is that this catalogue will guide you towards goods and services that offer long-lasting benefits to your loved ones, or even yourself. My aim was to provide excellent values and unique gift ideas for those who enjoy giving meaningful presents. (Have a cook in the family? Look for the perfect kitchen gifts here!)

I also love to promote companies that focus their energies on creating something great rather than hyping something expendable and disposable.

This gift guide gives one pick for the best product, care provider, or service in a category, rather than the “top 20 pain relief products” or “101 holiday gift ideas!”

My intention is to save you money and time while offering outstanding methods to feel better and ways to create a rich life without creating more for you to do.

These recommendations are based on my experience and my searches for the best in life. There are no advertisements in this catalogue, and I don’t charge for any part of this. (But feel free to share with your friends and family!)

So why am I doing this? Because I love sharing products and resources that I know might help someone feel better or satisfy their craving to try something new.

All my best wishes for you and your families~

Alexandra

Alex's Detox Helps Bike Racer Improve Performance: Book Review

Bike racer in training Steve Medcroft has written a fabulous testimonial about using my book The Great American Detox to help him improve his performance:

“The second diet revelation I had was reading the book The Great American Detox Diet by Alex Jamieson. Alex was the fiancée of Morgan Spurlock, the independent documentary filmmaker who made Super Size Me.

In that documentary, Spurlock ate McDonald’s fast food for all three of his daily meals and took the Supersize option whenever it was offered for 30 days. Jamieson’s book details the physiological changes he went through and the diet that she, a nutritionist and chef, put him on to bring his system back from the brink of total collapse once his experiment ended.

The book does a fantastic job of helping you understand food as it is produced for mass consumption in the US today; educating about processes the agriculture and food processing industry use to make food cheap and plentiful that rob us of much of its nutritional value….”
