I was so lucky to be born with a mom who was into yoga.  I remember leaving for the school bus while mom practiced on the floor while watching “Lilias, Yoga & You” on PBS.

(and I was so excited to meet Lilias herself, who is STILL teaching, when I was at last year’s World Peace & Yoga Jubilee!)

I developed scoliosis (a spinal curve) in my early teens, but because I knew about yoga, and was encouraged to use chiropractors and massage periodically, my back has stayed in pretty good shape all these years.

So I’ve been doing yoga for almost 30 years…but I’ve never used a mat like this before!my yoga my mat

Fellow Institute for Integrative Nutrition graduate Heidi Woschnak created MY MAT MY YOGA to help busy people who want to practice yoga on their own time, in their own space.

This extra thick mat is made from a high performance, extra quarter inch thickness, which my crunchy knees immediately appreciated!

The simple, elegant pose designs on the mat prompt you through a series of moves that allow you to enjoy the benefits of yoga no matter where or when you decide to practice.

I laid out the mat for my 4.5-year old son Laken and he immediately, instinctively started copying the pictures and created poses!

  1. Joanne says:

been wanting to start doing yoga. this mat would come in handy.

  2. Julie Hass says:

I just started doing yoga for the first time in my life (I am 35). I knew the benefits, but never took the time for myself to try it. I tried it and love it! I am fumbling a little through the moves during class, so I would love to have this mat to help me practice at home so I am not a complete klutz at the studio!
    Thank you, Julie H.

  3. Shari says:

this would be so wonderful to have as I am fairly new to Yoga. I am trying to get back on track from dealing with breast cancer and have found yoga to be the perfect chic for me.I was watching Rodney Yee the other day and is is such an inspiration. thank you for the chance!

  4. Amber Veytia says:

I have lost 105 pounds recently through diet and exercise. I am just trying to get started with yoga though and for now I am not great at it… But I have come so far in my journey, and I am so proud of myself. Yoga represents a strength to me that I haver not acquired yet, but need in my life.

  5. Angie says:

Good morning! I would love to win this mat. What a super clever idea, way to go. I could use this mat because I rely on simple and fast methods to keep me healthy (ish). I have three boys and work so there isn’t a whole lotta leftover time.

  6. kelly says:

looks like an awesome mat! yoga ha helped me become more grounded and aware….can’t imagine not having it in my life! so many lessons, both on and off the mat.

  7. julie says:

i was loaned a mat for while i’m traveling. so generous, but it’s not sticky! i can’t hold a downward facing dog without slipping into a pancake! this mat would be great. i love that it provides a series on the mat. pick me, pick me. ;)

  8. Kathy says:

A sticky mat that gives extra padding to a soar construction worker’s body– yahoo! Plus I could easily see my 6 year-old niece imitating the poses drawn on the mat. The visual + physical connection for her would be great.

  9. Alison Farrell says:

Hello! I would love to win this mat because I recently discovered yoga because I wanted to have my body in tip top shape during my first pregnancy. I love it! I’ve been using a mat that has some support, but after reading this description, I think the support would be helpful in allowing me to more easily continue yoga while my body gets bigger and my knees and lower back are more compromised. Thank you :-)

  10. Kezia says:

This is embarrassing but I am doing PR for a soon-to-be released documentary film about the amazing impact of yoga on women worldwide ( My primary job right now is promoting yoga…but, I’ve been fostering a beagle rescued from an animal testing lab for almost 3 weeks, and haven’t had time to actually *do* yoga since then. I watch him do downward-facing dog, and I get a little jealous. Housetraining, cleaning up after housetraining accidents, walks, keeping kitty and doggy separated, keeping kitty away from doggy food and vice-versa…it’s like having a part-time job. And that mat is totes adorbs.

  11. Robyn says:

You had me at cruncy knees….my mat is flat and often requires folding over a few times for comfort. After a couple of years of yoga interloping I’m feeling ready to launch into an actual practice. Without some visuals, and videos don’t do it for me, my work at home misses pose basics. And bonus!! the images on this mat are so fun that it would make my heart smile just for looking!

  12. Ashley says:

Genius! And so cool to leave around the house for those who are curious watching you turn yourself into a pretzel but would never sit through a 60 minute video, ie our 11 year old! Such a great giveaway, keep up the amazing work!

  13. Dorothy says:

I would like to offer the yoga mat to a family member for inspiration.
    Thank you.

  14. Liz says:

I’m starting Brooklyn’s first holistic daycare and health coaching center, which includes teaching kids some yoga poses every day. I would love to have this mat at the head, so they I can seamlessly go through the moves. And, my current mat is worn out :(

I’m half way through my IIN program too. If I won this mat, I’d be happy to promote another IIN graduate’s product :D

  15. Becky Henderson says:

I would love to win this yoga mat. I am in the process of changing my life and my family’s life through exercise and nutrition. My two year old loves to join in when I do exercise videos or walk. This mat would help me teach her and my husband yoga moves as well as help me to perfect them myself. Thank you for sharing!

  16. Alexis says:

Yes please! It sounds like the perfect matt for me!

  17. Susan says:

What a fantastic idea – glad Heidi thought of this -very cool – and what a great tool to teach young children at an early age – my grand niece loves sitting on her “special mat” which is my yoga mat – can you image this one instead of watching TV she and her brother will want to do all the moves – super idea!!!! Thanks for Heidi and Alex!

  18. Alisia says:

I have been doing the same workouts for years now and for awhile I’ve been wanting to add yoga to my routine. Having this mat would allow me to start adding yoga to my morning workouts and the poses on the mat would be super in helping me to start and I’d have no excuses! :)

  19. carrie obrien says:

This mat is awesome because it has the poses on it—as a novice yoga participant this is a big help!

  20. Christa Strauss says:

I am new to the “workout” lifestyle, and have been wanting to take a yoga class. Since most of the classes are advanced, I have no earthly idea what to do and how to do it. They have several classes at the YMCA, but I would at least like to know the basics before I get into a real classroom setting. Living with arthritis, I have been told Yoga would be great for relieving the constant pain I experience.

  21. Jill Sousek says:

I have always wanted to do yoga, but just never seem to have the time, and I have two dogs so I never just lay on the floor to try. I do have a yoga dvd. I really need to just make the time!!

  22. Smith says:

I would love to win this beautiful mat! My mat has seen better days.

  23. Kandice Ames says:

I’m starting to take mommy & me yoga classes with my 15 month old & we’d love to share this mat! She already knows the butterfly, down dog & how to do her belly breathing! I’m going to retweet this too! Thanks!

  24. Kathleen Koltko-Rivera says:

Alex, I’ve been impressed that I need to add yoga to my health practices to bring balance to my life. I’m a 56-year old psychology doctoral student at Fordham University. In addition to family responsibilities, I work full-time, and am busy with research, writing, and service related activities–this amounts to non-stop 60 to 80 hour weeks–I’m starting my 4th year and have 4 years to go. I have chosen to work with the poorest of the poor who have been subjected to complex trauma (repeated trauma and abuse of varous forms, typically from a young age thru adolescence or adulthood) so there is a lot of stress involved in what I do. Being able to practice yoga will help to keep me centered so I can give others what they need, and help me to deal with the stress in effective ways (rather than eating comfort foods). Being able to practice yoga at home fits my limited budget and busy schedule, and will make it more likely that I maintain the practice. The thickness of the mat will also be very helpful. One of the reasons I have delayed starting yoga is that the mats I have seen are so thin. I popped the bursa in my right knee years ago when I used to run every day, so I have no natural cushioning in my right knee. The thickness of the mat is particularly appealing, as will the diagrams that would remind me of the correct poses.

    Be well, Kathleen

  25. Sandra DeSmedt says:

I find doing yoga so beneficial to my peace of mind, not to mention my flexibility. Unfortunately, I rarely make it to a yoga class, due to the cost of classes and the craziness of my schedule. How cool would it be to just need to pull out my mat and be ready to go on my own, whenever I felt like it.

  26. Vladi frias says:

This mat would definitely get me motivated to start doing a yoga regiment added into my training. I just started getting more into my health and been looking at different things to add to my program and this would be so cool.

  27. Cheryl Rojic says:

The excuses I always go back to in order to NOT do yoga is that I can’t remember the poses, don’t want to drag my computer to the basement to follow a yoga DVD, or can’t see the pose pictures I’ve hung on the wall from across the room. This mat would be PERFECT!!!

  28. Patricia Ferreira says:

I am just getting into yoga and I love it. I live in an old house with hard wood floors and have been using a foam pad (meant for under a sleeping bag) that slips around alot. Kind of dangerous! I am experiencing empty nest syndrome and trying to keep busy (while not at work)losing weight, taking care of myself. I really would love to have and use this special mat. Thanks, Patricia

  29. Stefanie says:

I would like to start yoga because it seems so calming but energizing. This would help out a lot.

  30. Stephanie Johnson says:

The mat looks awesome! I, too, am a yoga novice. I do a routine from Rodney Yee called Yoga for IBS, and I think my crunchy knees would appreciate it too!
Thanks for all the info you’re always sharing with us!

  31. Michelle says:

I’ve been planning on starting yoga with my daughter at home so it would be great to show her this mat!

  32. Elina says:

Hi, is it too late to enter? I got the email only now, and above it says “Friday, 6/27″ above (today is Monday)….so not sure.

Anyway, I would love to have this yoga mat, as I have been planning to start yoga for years, also recommended by many!

  33. Morgan Alexander says:

I had always wanted to do yoga because it just felt like me, however, I was severely obese and was scared to even start. At the beginning of this year I made a decision to take back control of my life and since then have lost over 100lbs. Yoga has been a key contributing factor in me being able to keep my focus on the healthy lifestyle that I created. What seems to happen though is that I don’t always want to watch a yoga DVD or listen to anything when I am peacefully practicing my poses but I find myself forgetting what to do next or what other poses I could do. I still have about 125 lbs to lose and Yoga I know is going to make sure I reach that goal. You can’t replace the focus gained by practicing Yoga; it has truly changed my life!! This mat would help me to better finishing out my journey! I am also young and unfortunately don’t have a lot of money to buy the appropriate equipment to practice Yoga so this mat would be very beneficial. Thank you for considering me. Namaste

  34. Cindy says:

Love the “model” for the yoga mat…such a cutie and great inspiration!

  35. Hannah says:

I would love this! I’ve just started doing yoga to deal with my fibromyalsia and I feel a little bit lost.

  36. Gabriela says:

I LOVE THIS MAT!!! I would use it myself and also have my three kids use it just like Laken. What a great idea. We are moving this summer and yoga has always helped me through transitions both positive and challenging. This mat would support me and my family in countless ways.

  37. Laura J says:

What a nice mat! I would love to win this fun mat as I have just begun to practice yoga and the picture poses would sure help a newbie! My 23 yr old daughter let me borrow her mat until I got one for myself. I have Sjogren’s syndrome and osteoarthritis in one knee. I have been told my rheumatologist that yoga would benefit my aching joints and it would help with muscle strength. At 47, I’m finally getting on a healthier lifestyle!

  38. Becky says:

I’ve been away from yoga for too long and this mat would be the perfect inspiration to pick it back up again!!

  39. Monika Star says:

I practice yoga, but for me it can be a struggle I have an adult form of ADD, and with this I find myself every single class trying to recall the poses. This seems real nifty since the pics are right at my fingertoes. I hope I may enjoy this!!!

  40. Stephanie Shoemaker says:

OMG..this is a camping girl’s dream…..I love my yoga but sometimes forget what I’m doing! I want this mat.

    I Love Me Some YOGA….Steph

  41. Arian says:

I would love this wonderful mat! I am also fairly new to yoga and would love the pics. Great for traveling too, without videos to pack. Awesome idea!

  42. Julia says:

I am half way through my pregnancy and I practice yoga almost daily. I was just thinking about upgrading my mat because my practice has continued to increase! Yoga = Happy Mama and Happy Baby :] Namaste!

  43. Merlyn Brito says:

What a wonderful idea! This is just the kind of mat that I need, that I have been looking for and that will motivate me to do my yoga exercises by myself at home. At the moment, in spite of knowing & experiencing the efficacy of regular yoga practice in my life, I find myself depending on others for my practice.
Now that I am well into the second half century of my life with all the associated degeneration body parts & agility,I realize that it is only the ancient & proven science of yoga that will keep me healthy and whole!
The mat costs $80/ and therefore would not be an easy & justifiable purchase for a teacher & single earner. If I could win it, I could use it and could live happily ever after!

  44. Kristin says:

I love the way the Yoga Mat looks. I really want to get back into yoga. I remember Lilias on PBS also. She was the first person I saw doing yoga!

  45. Mindy says:

I would love it because I’m trying to get my own yoga classes started and it would be a great mat to teach from.

  46. Glennen says:

Wow- what a cool idea! I love yoga, but I have struggled to return to it… this mat would hopefully help with that. My son is 4 and he loves yoga- he would also love this mat! Thanks for the chance to win!
    I also tweeted!

  47. Erin says:

I would love this mat because it is adorable and I think it would give my kids the extra boost they need to get back into yoga on a daily basis. Plus I am only one mat shy of having one for all of us. :)

  48. Connie Mar says:

I would love this yoga mat as it would help me to practice yoga at home. I had to quit my job in March due to the high level of stress that elevated my blood pressure, made me gain weight, and messed up my hips from 12-15 hours of sitting every day. I’ve gone to several free and low-cost yoga classes, but can not afford the monthly/weekly or drop-in fees of regular classes. I’ve been eating better, doing yardwork and housework and have gotten rid of about 20 extra pounds. Doing yoga really helps get rid of the excess cortisol and lower my blood pressure so I won’t have to take meds. Having the poses on the mat would be a tremendous help!

  49. Erin reade says:

I love going to yoga but with a job working nights a lot, a husband with a stressful job, and an 18 month old it does not happen due to difficulties finding childcare and not wanting to miss outcon precious time with my son. With this I could do yoga while he naps or sleeps at night!

  50. Angie Doel says:

Wow, this is an incredible yoga mat! As a busy single mom of three kiddos (who are now home for summer vacation!) it’s tough for me to maintain my yoga routine at the gym. This would be a wonderful addition to my home! Thanks for the chance to win!

  51. Brandi says:

I practiced yoga for a few years to help alleviate a herniated disc, and it really helped. Unfortunately since I have moved I have not been able to find a good yoga studio. This would be perfect for me to be able to continue the practice right at home. And like your son, i’m sure my 4 yr. old nephew would love it when he comes to visit. Thanks Alexandra!

  52. Andrea Bean says:

This looks like the answer to my dreams (soft on the knees and instruction)! I know I can put in a DVD, but…don’t like that idea. And I can’t always make it to class, best of all worlds here!

  53. Steven Smith says:

Good ol’ unflexible me is getting into yoga! However, I have a thin mat which doesn’t give me the most comfort I could get. As someone who is getting into yoga but doesn’t always have time to travel to a studio, having the poses right there for me would be amazing! I look forward to the chance to gain the extra support and not be all slip and sliding as I sweat up a storm. I love IIN sharing too and look forward to a product of my own to give away someday!

  54. Julia A. says:

I’ve been struggling to get my yoga practice back on track, and a great mat would be inspirational! Thanks so much for all of your hard work, Alex. The information you share really helps me focus on treating my mind and body well.

  55. Johanna Woodbury says:

I need a new yoga mat. MY eco-friendly one is falling apart fast.

  56. Jasmine says:

I broke my right food twice within the last three years of college. I’m interested in trying yoga since it won’t have high impact on my feet/knees. I’m signed up for Beginner’s Yoga elective come fall semester at my university’s Phys Ed department. I’d love to have this yoga to inspire me as I begin my yoga journey!

  57. Stacie says:

I just found out I am pregnant and I would love to use this mat to start my prenatal yoga!

  58. Anna says:

I’d LOVE to win this mat! What if I’m so calm during class I suddenly forget the next pose? It could happen.

  59. Hi Alexandra,
I’m not one of those that gets lucky and gets stuff for free, when there’s a chance to win…. so Could you please send me info as to how much the mat costs and how much it’s for shipping and handling? Thanks so much!
I’m out of a job, and can’t afford yoga classes right now, so a mat like that would be most awesome!!!

  60. Jessica says:

This is awesome! Don’t need any books or DVDs – just you and the mat!! :)

  61. Gerry says:

I do back exercises on the floor twice a day. I am tired of do them on the rug. This mat would be perfect for my exercise!! I hope I win this great mat!!

  62. Lisa says:

This is a great mat I love it! Would be great to have in my new found Yoga practice …ailments and played a toll on my health and I find peace in my yoga practice …thanx for considering me Blessings

  63. Pat says:

This is a fantastic opportunity to win something that is so helpful and healthful! I have asthma and fibromyalgia, which seemed very limiting until I found yoga. It’s been wonderful for me, but I do get sore sometimes using my old school mat. I’ve been laid off from my job for almost 2 years (July 31 marks the 2nd anniversary of the Reduction in Force that ended my 10 year tenure at my position). I still look for work, but at this time, haven’t found any. I am self supporting, without unemployment benefits, as they have been exhausted. I’ve been living on credit, so only the absolute bare essentials can be paid for: home, utilities and groceries. I’d love this mat, to continue my yoga with the helpful poses. If I had a source of income, I’d surely purchase one! I love reading your blogs, Alex – always informative, and personal. ‘You had me at hello!’ Thank you for the opportunity :)

    • Alexandra says:

Thanks for the sweet thoughts Pat – I’m so glad you enjoy my blog posts and website. Thanks for entering, and be sure to follow me on Twitter for another chance to win!
      xoxo Alex

  64. Lauren says:

I’ve recently started doing yoga weekly and am loving it! My mat is pretty ragged but I can’t afford a new one right now so I would love to win this beautiful one!

  65. Katie Dillon says:

Yoga has changed my life! In March I was diagnosed with a complex renal artery aneurysm and was scheduled for a “renal auto transplant”. This is a very rare surgery and had to be performed in a hospital 5 hours away. I had 3 months to get ready so I worked with Alex to clean up my diet and took yoga 3x a week. I was told that the most important thing I could do before surgery was to build a strong core. I had the surgery last week and my surgery was a great success. The 5-7 hour procedure was completed in less than 4 hours. The surgeons were impressed and I am feeling proud! It will be a few months until I can resume yoga but I will be back on my mat as soon as I get the ok.

I know the hard work I put in was worth it!

(auto renal transplant is when the patient is the donor and recipient of a kidney transplant)

  66. Amanda says:

I really want to get into yoga but I don’t know any poses! I know I could take a class or buy a DVD, but I don’t really have the time/money right now, so I’ve been putting it off.

  67. Brynn Marie says:

I have two herniated discs in my low back and one of the two is completely collapsed. You’d think I was older, but I just turned the ripe old age of 28. I have been trying desperately to find forms of exercise I can do that are low impact and beneficial for body and mind. I’m set to face a two-level spinal fusion and I’m doing everything in my power to put surgery off as long as possible. I’ve already put my body through two epidural steroid injections that only made me miserable, have hot flashes, and gain a lot of weight. With the support of my doctor, we have been looking for alternative treatments for me to provide relief and yoga and aquatic therapy are the next steps. I don’t currently own a yoga mat and this one looks fabulous. It would be great to take to the office and do a few poses throughout the day (because sitting in a chair all day is sooooooo hard on the back)! I picked up The Great American Detox Diet and I believe that in combination with this super mega awesome yoga mat will help me get my body back and provide the relief I’ve been so desperately seeking for my back!

  68. Benay says:

I would love to win this mat because i recently started doing yoga – as i think it’s important to give me some balance in my crazy hectic life – my hours rarely allow me to get to class and i believe the mat would give me support at home so when i get home at crazy hours like these – i could actually do something that’s good for me…. and if something’s recommended by you Alex, all the more reason i would want to own whatever that is! :-) And i also believe that i could promote the mat once i use it as i see hundreds of customers daily and guests often ask for advice on all topics from diet to exercise – so i touch a wide audience and would be thrilled to pay it forward and continue to get the good word out about this wonderful mat!

  69. Karen says:

I recently purchased my mat my yoga and as someone who has not practiced yoga regularly the mat is like a great ‘cheat sheet’ for me. Within two sessions I was remembering the flow from one pose to another as much or as little time on each as I choose. And the thickness of it is fabulous. I took it with me on a retreat and was able to enjoy my own private session on a sprawling lawn at my own pace, in my own space…it’s brilliant. Thank you Heidi for creating this terrific product!

  70. Maura says:

What a great looking mat, I’d love to win it and send my decade-old mat to yoga mat heaven.

  71. Donnalyn says:

Ooo, pick me, pick me!(said with the enthusiasm of Donkey in Shrek!) I’m boney, scattered(meaning if my dvd and mat are both not within site I might get side tracked), a visual learner, a yoga keener, a mom whose kids would think this looks fun enough to try out, so I’d have to buy a few, grateful to yoga because of the differences I see and feel in my body and mind, because maybe I could be the first Canadian to experience this product, which I’ll love and tell everyone about, so sales will sky rocket and, of course, because I just love presents! Thanks!

  72. phyllis says:

this mat would be very helpful when I’m traveling and don’t have an amazing instructor to guide it

  73. Katherine says:

The past month, I’ve started a detox/recovery program to recover from a tough year of being underemployed, injured, and heavier than usual (stress eater here). I have slowly reincorporated regular exercise into my routine and have returned to a diet of nutrient dense whole foods. As a casual triathlete, I know one of my huge weaknesses is flexibility and balance. I’ve tried yoga in the past and had so much trouble, I never stuck with it. I have weak wrists and I feel this extra thick mat would really help with the discomfort and motivate me to stretch my tense body out regularly! I believe regular yoga will also help me recover from a bad case of plantar fasciitis. Love the blog as always, thanks for the great giveaways!

  74. Chef Liloux says:

After an automobile accident and reoccurring injuries I really do need yoga to maintain a pain free life. Yet, I have a hard time remembering the asanas, so this is perfect. Having changed my diet to raw vegan two years ago, I dropped one third of my body weight and enjoy stretching into my new body and bending into new poses. I would be very grateful for such a beautiful yoga mat and I would sell it on my website when I get one too!

Go to and vote for me, Chef Liloux for People’s Choice award! For voting receive a free ebook of all contestants raw recipes! Don’t for get, vote for Chef Liloux!!!

  75. Katie says:

I used to do a lot of yoga and loved it but now find I have trouble finding the time and classes that meet my schedule. It would be great to have this mat at home to help me do yoga. I could use the stress relief. My boys are driving me nuts now that summer is here. Thanks.

  76. Cherie says:

I have been away from yoga for too long…..would love to get back at it with this mat!

  77. Monica says:

Hi Alex – I would love to win this yoga mat to assist me with continuing my practice. The yoga teacher at my gym quit and I’ve been trying to put together a program for myself, but working with yoga books while trying to glide from one pose to another is difficult. Now my program would be right on the floor in front of me. Thank you for all your advice and guidance!

  78. Jen says:

I am trying to work myself into a regular routine of doing yoga. I get so caught up in everything else going on, that I forget to take time for yoga. I think this mat’s design would be helpful, because I would not need a DVD or TV to take my mat anywhere and take time to center myself and to breathe! Thank you for sharing this mat with us!

  79. Catherine Lakey says:

It looks like a great mat! If I win it then I can use that and let my cats use me old ratty one! (they’re into Pilates) ;-) LOVE your new blog Chef!

  80. Dan Brook says:

What a great idea! It would inspire me and my wife to get back into yoga.

  81. Kendra says:

This is the coolest mat! I’m definitely getting one for my 2-year old niece!

  82. OrganiKooK says:

First, I LOVE that mat! Second, I have just started yoga instructor training, how perfect that would be! Even if I don’t win it, it will have to go on my Christmas list…

  83. Lucy says:

I have been in search of a good quality yoga mat and I know if you recommend it, it’s bangin’! You have been my inspiration for many a year and I would so love to win this so I could have a part of you with me always; well, I do, you have a piece of my heart, but you know what I mean! Love you gurl!

  84. lisa corman says:

love yoga but can never find a mat i love. hopefully, i can try this one out soon!

  85. Rhea says:

Someone stole my last mat (cue violins) and I never replaced it. This is a great mat. PICK ME.

  86. Portia says:

Yoga has literally saved my life. I practiced it and it fortunately cured a severe ailment. I am currently unable to pay for classes and am not near a studio that offers it on a voluneer basis, so this mat would serve as my “teacher”.

  87. Angela Kulak says:

Yoga keeps my body sane! This mat would be a wonderful addition. As long as I’m posting I want to say “thank you” for what you do- you are an inspiration! Keep up the good work!

    Hello Alexandra,

I recently started taking pre-natal yoga and have had an official 5 yoga classes in total. I’m still a newbie to yoga and have a lot to learn, but I feel great each time I finish a class. This mat would definitely help me in my new venture in learning yoga!

Thank You for always having a great deal on your newsletter!

It would be a great tool in my life for myself and my children. The drawings look cool and will grab my kids attention. A great way to start their love of exercise! Thank you for all that you do!

Yoga is so necessary for my quality of life. They have a class at my local yoga studio on Friday nights after work. It’s always so hard to drag myself there after a long work week, but once I’m there I am SO happy I came. It is such a good way to clear the stresses from the week and get me refreshed and ready to recharge over the weekend.

I have been looking for a new mat, in the meantime I use what’s available at the studio. I would love to give this adorable mat a try! Thanks Alex for the opportunity to try to win one!

O my goodness! What a cute idea for a yoga mat! It would be so useful at the climbing gym when i don’t have my yoga buddies around to remind me of the perfect pose to stretch out my climbing muscles!!

This would be the perfect mat for me. I recently had to cancel my beloved yoga classes/gym membership because of the cost. I have been searching for a way to do yoga at my apartment without an instructor. This would be perfect and easy for me to follow along with!

I have been practicing yoga intensively for about four years now, and have yet to find a mat that I truly love. As I’ll be returning to Sarah Lawrence for my sophomore year of college in the fall, I can’t help but get excited about the idea of waking up to this mat every morning, all the little stick figures gazing up and encouraging me to power through that first chataranga. Thank you Alex and Laken for this beautiful opportunity!

My mom ALSO watched/used “Lilias Yoga & You!” I participated sometimes, too. My mom exposed me to yoga very early in life, and, regretfully, I have not practiced regularly in years — I ‘m starting in again, and I would love this awesome mat to keep me motivated! :)

I have really been wanting to start doing yoga for a while now. When I go to college next year, I’m going to look for classes,so this mat would be awesome to have!

I am a 20 year old vegetarian college student. As a teenager I was diagnosed with scoliosis. Not much was done until about a year ago when I was suffering from scrutiating pain. For my luck there is a chiropractic clinic near my college that offers trearment at a very low cost ($30 per month for college students). I started going regularly for adjustment and felt great. My chiropractor suggested I take yoga because it would really improve my back problem. For the time being I am going to start doing yoga on Netflix. I have enrolled in a yoga class for the fall semester in my college but have yet to get a yoga mat. Being a vegetarian, I am always concerned about my health and well-being. Whether I get this mat or not, I wil continue to improve my life everyday.

ps: deadline was FRIDAY June 27??
