  18. Andra says:

Always getting sick and now with baby number two, my husband and I really want to avoid getting the sniffles. I’ve had the flu, colds, and strep throat since I’ve been a kid, wonder why? Good nutrition helps. Now that I am sleep deprived and headed back to work (that I get to after a long commute) I need all the help I can get!

When your back is broke and your eyes are blurred.
And your shin-bones knock and your tongue is furred,
And your tonsils squeak and your hair gets dry,
And you’re doggone sure that you’re going to die,
But you’re skeered you won’t and afraid you will,
    Just drag to bed and have your chill;
And pray the Lord to see you through
For you’ve got the Flu, boy,
    You’ve got the Flu. JPMcElvoy

  20. Bonnie Brust says:

I would love to win a copy of this book! Not just for me, but for me to pass along this invaluable information to the many people I know and come across regularly who feel that their immune system is physically challenged every winter season and think they have to get flu shots and then when they do get sick, go to doctors and take anti biotics because they think that’s the only thing that will help them to recover.

  21. Harmony says:

In 2007 I stopped smoking. In 2009 I drank my last soda. In August 2011 I ate my last piece of chocolate and candy. I had my last piece of meat in Sept 2011. While I am looking and feeling better I have about 8 meals that I eat. I would love to have a book that not only offers recipes I can try, but also those that will keep me healthy in this cold and flue season. :)

  22. Debbie Souer says:

I would love to have this book. I have a super low immune system and I tend to catch everything. I have since I was 6 days old and had strep throat. I have been trying to eat better for several years now, but i am missing something. I also have a daughter in the same boat and just started college and has already been sick twice. I am so sick of being sick and taking care of people who are sick of being sick!

  23. Gerry says:

I rarely get sick, but this would be a handy book to have on had just in case I do get sick and avoid going to a doctor.

  24. Rhonda Rickey says:

Hi Alex!! I too, would love to win the book “Super Immunity”!! I have chronic pain, multiple diagnoses ranging from asthma to psoriasis, have given up gluten, dairy, processed sugars, have decreased my meat intake to very little, and take too many meds. I take several supplements to try to increase my immune system. I get bronchitis every year at least once and have had pneumonia 5 times. I have to SAVE MY HEALTH!!! I can’t afford to continue getting sick, financially or physically. I could really use this book!!

  25. Lisa says:

I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired! I have Chronic Fatigue; since my immune system is busy fighting the Epstein-Barr virus that is causing it, I seem to catch everything going around during the cold months.

  34. Melissa K says:

Ooops. Hit “Submit” too soon. To answer the question: I was a sickly child and struggle to remain healthy so as to not use those sick days nor to spread the germs. Information that would be in this book could help my family enjoy healthy days.

  35. Chris Leotis says:

I love Dr. Fuhrmans other books and can’t wait to read his new one. I would love to get through the cold and flu season without catching everything there is to catch for a change. Also want to be able share his new book with family and friends.

  36. Jan says:

Wow! This website looks like it is filled with a wealth of valuable good health information. I would love to own this book and can’t afford to purchase it. I delivered healthy triplets (natural not a fertility patient) in 1988 and my health went down the tubes ever since. I have severe chronic sinusitis and endless health issues of CFS and fibromyalgia ongoing. I have not been able to keep any employable job due to being so ill. I feel like I am poisoned. I look forward looking over this website and learning how nutrition plays a role in building immunity. For me stress was a big factor in becoming ill and I have never recovered. It’s been 23 years! :( Can anyone relate or have a similar experience being ill for so long?

  37. PGYx says:

Would love to win this book to give to my mom, who has had 2 recent colds and just asked me today whether she should get a flu shot. If I don’t win then I’ll have to get her a copy as a gift!

  38. D says:

I would love to win a copy of this book. I don’t take the flu shot or use cold medications so I would love some tips on what to do to stay healthy. Thanks for all the information you share as well as the resources!

  39. Shannon says:

I’d love to read this! I don’t like the idea of getting a shot for flu prevention, and even when I do take cold medications, it’s still miserable (best to avoid getting sick and having an immune system of steel! ;)

  40. Kelly says:

My nearly two year old daughter has had two colds and the flu in the last month. Last night her nose started running again – are we headed into our third cold?! I’m also working to remineralize her teeth through nutrition – soft teeth run in the family and she has cavities on her front teeth. I need her to not get sick so she’ll sleep with her mouth closed so it doesn’t dry out! And her dad gets every cold she has but worse (I blame the white bread he loves to eat). Give me some ammo against his lousy diet, please.

  41. sanamau says:

I’ve had one cold / flu in the last 50 years. Study of
prevention and developing the immune system is a hobby of mine. I pass on my thoughts to others who are interested and in need. I’d like to get the book as I’m planning to have zero colds / flu in the next 50 years :)

  42. Lynn says:

Kismet moment!! I just discovered this book online, as I researched ways to help my husband with his autoimmune disorder. I would love to win this book and put its principles into action in our family!! Keeping my fingers crossed…..

  43. I would absolutely love to win a copy of Joel Furhman’s new book as this will help in my practice. I have three children (one in highschool, one in elementary school, and one in daycare) and I can use all the help I can get with keeping them safe from sickness! I also love what Mr. Furhman has done within the medical community and how he’s treated numerous chronic diseases with nutrition. He’s a genius and one of my idols; in addition to you Alex, of course! ;P

  44. Jenny says:

As a kid, I was sick at least twice a year – flu, tonsillitis, flu, etc. Since going vegan, I have enjoyed the food and the benefits. The benefits being hardly being sick at all, even when my co-workers are! I’m hoping this book will help me become even more healthy.

  45. Chris Viscomi says:

Wow would I love a copy of this book. You see my friend Angela sent me this site to sign up. I am a 58 year old that has been diagonised with Lupus and Granuloma Annulare for 4 years now and have gone through all different kinds of treatment from radiation to injections and they are getting larger and more and more are coming out on my leggs.
This year has been the worst for me I have had my thyroid removed from thyroid cancer, 3 months latter I had a gall bladder attack and had my gall bladder removed and when they did the test on the GB they found that I have a lesion on my liver and a fatty liver, I am now suffering from the 2nd case of shingles worst than the first. So I hope you do select me because I love life and enjoy each day but I am tired of being sick going to doctors for medication as a trial that does not work and paying so much money that it is taking away from other things I have to pay. Please help me I will try anything to improve my health and life.
    Thanking you in advance.

  50. Rachael says:

I have been sick for a couple weeks now, and I would love to read this book to figure out why I’m not healing as quickly as I would like to be!

  51. Rachael says:

And I already like you on Facebook – Super Immunity looks like a great way I could help others feel better too by educating them!

  52. Alanna says:

In the past, I’ve gotten sick so many times over the winter. This year, I have changed my diet and I’m hoping to not get sick so much. Would love to read this book to help me!

  53. Elizabeth says:

I would love to win a copy of this book since I’m a big fan of Dr. Fuhrman and I’d like to help the people I know who always seem to be sick!

  54. Jennifer says:

I need this book. I sit here with my head aching hoping I can get in to see my doctor first thing tomorrow morning, I have had a cold for 2 weeks now, ugh.

I would love to know how to prevent myself and my children from getting sick this winter. I would love to win a copy of this book, I feel like I am doing something wrong with our food choices.

  55. Jessica says:

These past few months I have been sick more than I have been well. It is my second year teaching at a school in a developing country, so I am constantly bombarded with germs that I have not been exposed to before. Even though I have a pretty healthy diet, and I exercise regularly (well, when I’m not sick), the germs seem to hit me harder than any of my colleagues. I’m beginning to feel sense of hopelessness.
